Kiwanda Coastal Properties: Supporting Local Communities with the Kiwanda Community Fund
Established in 2020, the Kiwanda Community Fund connects vacation homeowners, visitors, and our team with local charities. This initiative helps direct donations to organizations making a difference in our community.
How the Kiwanda Community Fund Works
The Fund gathers donations throughout the year from several sources:
- Owner Contributions: Some property owners donate directly or allocate a percentage of their rental income.
- Guest Donations: Guests can contribute when booking their vacation homes.
- Matching Contributions: Kiwanda Coastal Properties matches certain donations to maximize impact.
- Holiday Gift Alternatives: Owners sometimes donate in lieu of traditional gifts, choosing charities that matter to them.
2024 Beneficiaries of the Kiwanda Community Fund
This year, the Fund supported the following organizations:
- Tillamook Animal Shelter: Providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services for animals, while promoting spaying, neutering, and education.
- South County Food Pantry: Offering essential food resources to the community every other Tuesday in Pacific City.
- Surfrider Foundation – Three Capes Chapter: Focused on protecting and enjoying local beaches, oceans, and waves through advocacy and community action.
Expanding the Fund in 2024
We’ve introduced tools to make it easier for guests to contribute when booking, and more owners are committing monthly donations as a percentage of their rental proceeds. These updates aim to grow the Fund’s reach and impact in the coming year.
Kiwanda Coastal Properties remains committed to engaging with and supporting the community through meaningful contributions. We look forward to continuing these efforts in 2024.
