“Ahoy Matey” is a darling classic beach cabin in Tierra Del Mar with a fenced back yard and fun pirate playhouse. This home is cozy but spacious and is full of interesting decor, games, toys and furnishings. It is a classic family beach cabin that has been cherished and enjoyed over the years, making it the perfect place to relax and create some new great memories. It is safely situated on a quiet, dead-end street, with a quick 1/2 block walk to the beach access. The back yard is fenced and has a super fun and creative pirate ship play area off of the sheltered back deck. There are toys, games, cable TV, WIFI making this a fantastic family choice.
Layout — Downstairs entry has living room, dining area with woodstove, kitchen, bedroom with double bed and a full bath with shower. There is back deck access off of the kitchen. Upstairs has another living room area with a double futon, full bathroom with shower, bedroom with queen bed. Washer and dryer are in the accessible part of the garage (most of garage is locked off to guests).
The village of Tierra Del Mar is a small community of traditional beach homes 3 miles north of Pacific City along the Three Capes Scenic Route. There are several quiet lanes lined with both historic cabins and larger beach homes that all lead to direct beach access. All homes in Tierra Del Mar are a quick, easy walk to the beach. The beach here is quiet and long—beachcombers can walk for hours down this lengthy stretch that is relatively undiscovered. It is a good spot for beachcombers who often find agates and Japanese glass floats. Sandlake Dunes recreation area is 4 miles to the north.
This home is pet friendly for one or two dogs. Please let us know if you will be bringing a pet so that we can add the non-refundable pet fee of $10/night (maximum charge of $40/pet). Only well-behaved dogs are allowed. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, or left in the house unattended.
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.
The safety of our staff, guests and local community is our top priority. This home is professionally managed and cleaned to strict standards in line with CDC guidelines, including supervised housekeeping and post-clean sanitation.
In order to ease the stress of the reality of 2020, we have relaxed our cancellation policy. Bookings in June can cancel without penalty up to 48 hours of arrival. After that you may cancel up to 7 days prior to arrival without penalty. Our hope is that if someone in your group is not well, you will postpone your trip. Also, we want to be sensitive to everyone who’s financial situation might change.
